DANN'S ELECTRICAL

RESIDENTIAL ESSENTIALS PLAN

Safety switches, smoke alarms, switchboard.

Once a year, checked and photographed - for just $49.99.

Your smoke alarm company doesn't check the switchboard. Nobody does. We come once a year, look at all three, and text you what we found - including the photo.

ABOUT OUR PLANS

Three checks, one visit, and a photo of what we found

Most of what we get called out to didn’t start as an emergency.

It started as something small that nobody had a reason to look at.  Then it waits, and it gets worse, and then it’s a Sunday night call-out.

The NSW Government puts 40% of house fires in NSW down to electrical faults and electrical appliances, and estimates up to 1,800 a year could be prevented by checking wiring and installing safety switches.

With many clients frustrated with this costly cycle and safety concerns – we built an annual plan. One visit a year, at a price that makes looking early the obvious call.

How does it work?

It’s simple enough. Tell us the suburb, we’ll tell you when we’re in the area, and one of our electricians comes out once a year. Switchboard scanned, safety switches tested, alarms checked.

We’ll then send you an email the same day with the photo, clear answer on how it looks and whether there’s anything you need to be aware of. Nothing else for you to do.

All for just $49.99 a year.

01

THE SWITCHBOARD

We scan it with a thermal camera and look for heat where there shouldn’t be any. You get the image and an explanation from one of our licensed electricians telling you what it shows.

02

THE SAFETY SWITCHES

We press the test button on every one we can reach, to confirm it actually trips. Most are installed and never touched again. Which is exactly why we do it.

03

THE SMOKE ALARMS

If someone’s home to let us in, we test them and check they’re still in date. Alarms expire after ten years and almost nobody tracks it.

04

THE TEXT

Then we’ll send you a message. Dated, with the property address, who attended, and one of three findings: Normal, Monitor & Action Required.

Dann, Hamish, and the team came out to perform a complicated three phase and board upgrade, including sub boards in my sheds. I found the whole team to be polite, and hard working. It was a very challenging job, but Dann's team did not compromise on quality or safety. I'm impressed with thier professional approach to the job, and they left the site tidy and clean. I will absolutely be calling them again next time I need works done.

Highly recommend Ben from Danns Electrical, we couldn't be happier with his service. Ben quickly came up with solutions for our issues and did a fantastic job installing sensor lights and power points. He provided excellent, reliable and professional service, we wouldn't use anyone else. 5 Stars

Exceptional electrician, experience really makes all the difference! We honestly cannot recommend Dan highly enough! We'd been dealing with an incredibly frustrating, intermittent electrical issue in our kitchen for ages. The power would trip seemingly out of nowhere, sometimes only once every six months, making it almost impossible to pinpoint the cause. We'd spent so much time troubleshooting, unplugging appliances and trying to work out what on earth was going on. Just when we thought we'd figured it out, the problem would eventually happen again! We finally called Dan, and honestly, we were absolutely mind blown. Within less than five minutes of arriving, he had figured out the issue! After all the time we'd spent scratching our heads over it, watching him identify the problem so quickly was incredible. It really showed us the difference that genuine experience, technical knowledge and expertise make. What had been an ongoing headache for us was something Dan was able to work through almost immediately. We're so glad we called him. It's such a relief to have someone who genuinely knows their trade and can get to the bottom of a problem without hours of guesswork. If you're looking for an electrician who knows what they're doing, is experienced and can troubleshoot those frustrating electrical issues that others might struggle to pinpoint, give Dan a call. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and will absolutely be using him again. Thanks, Dan, you've earned every one of these five stars!

Had some light fittings changed and quotes done for an electrical box overhaul. Electrician and admin staff were super helpful and professional. The jobs were completed to a high standard. I will definitely be using this company again.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I hired Dann's Electrical to perform a switchboard upgrade at my home in Oct 2026. Communication from the outset was phenomenal and they instilled more confidence than the 3 other competitive others I'd invited to tender for the works. Pricing was more competitive to boot. When Dan's tradesman Hamish and apprentice Cody rocked up with the new board, due to unforeseen circumstances, it quickly became apparent that there was much more to the job than had initially been expected. This is after the Level 2 electrician had disconnected us from street power and left. There was no turning back now. Without going into too much detail, Hamish and Cody's day had gone from a reasonably paced knock-off-on-time job to an "oh f*************k" kinda day. Not once did the boys grumble or moan or swear (as I certainly would have.) Nor did they let a moment go to waste. They were in it now and they didn't stop until the job was done. Upon finishing the job, I couldn't fault a single thing from their professionalism, the presentation and cable management of the new board to their clean-up effort at the end of the job when all they would have wanted was to go home a take a long shower in silence to wash the helluva day off 'em. BONUS POINTS! As with any older home, some of the building materials the fellas encountered were aged out and brittle: a roof tile broke as they were putting it back in. What did they do? Silicon up the remains and not let me find out until the next big rain because "where are we going to find a replacement for a 40+ year old tile?" Nope! The industrious young blokes jumped on fb marketplace, miraculously tracked down a local seller who had something that matched and drove out to his place to pick up a replacement (with a spare for me to keep.) I said at the top of this spiel that if i could give 5 stars, I would. I hope you now understand why. Dan, if you're reading this: don't let Hamish and Cody out of your sight. Any employer would be lucky to have 2 young guns of this calibre in their stable. Hats off, boys!

Dan came out to my place early on a Saturday morning to fix problems with the wiring in my switchboard, so we could get our power back after a storm. He got us going and provided advice on what we might want to look at upgrading. Dan was very nice and, arrived when he said he would, and did a great job.

WHY BOTHER?

The whole point is not to need us when it's urgent.

Nobody calls an electrician about a light that flickers occasionally, or a switch that feels warm. It’s not worth a call-out. So it waits.

This is a visit that’s already happening.

Once a year, automatically, batched with the rest of your suburb. You don’t book it, chase it, or have to remember it.

We tell you when we’re coming and we email you after.

With our annual residential plan:

  1. Help prevent costly call-outs and dangerous emergencies
  2. Small things get seen while they’re still small
  3. You’ll actually know what condition your electrical is in
  4. It happens without you having to organise it

FOR PROPERTY MANAGERS AND LANDLORDS:

The worst electrical job is the one you didn't know about.

A tenant rings at 4:50pm. Something’s tripped, or there’s a burning smell, or half the house has no power.

Now you’re finding an after-hours electrician, getting an owner across an unbudgeted spend they didn’t see coming, and managing a tenant who wants it fixed tonight. In NSW, electrical faults are urgent repairs – the clock is already running when the phone rings.

A scheduled annual check doesn’t make all of that disappear. But every problem found in daylight, on a planned visit, with a photo and a quote, is one that never becomes that phone call.

  • One visit a year per property, batched by suburb
  • One email per property, to you or the owner – your call
  • Every finding graded Normal, Monitor or Action required, so you can sort a rent roll at a glance
  • Add us as a supplier in Property Tree or PropertyMe. No integration, no new login, no system change
  • Don’t want to get rid of your smoke alarm provider? Keep them, we do the switchboard
  • Volume pricing across a portfolio
  • Schedule additional electrical work in the same visit and reduce costs further.

OUR SWITCHBOARD WARRANTIES

For our customers who have had their switchboards brought up to Australian standards by us, you will still be covered by our 25 year warranty – covering both new parts and labour for installation.

Frequently asked questions

Choosing the right electrician shouldn’t leave you guessing. Here are the answers to the most common questions local homeowners, landlords and real estate agents ask about our annual residential plans.

Didn’t find what you’re looking for? Feel free to contact us – our team is always happy to help!

I already have a smoke alarm company. Why would I switch?

You don’t have to. If you’re happy with them, take Essentials at $49.99 and we’ll just do the switchboard – the part they don’t touch.

If you’d rather have it all in one visit (testing, batteries, replacing anything faulty or out of date) plus the switchboard scan – we can arrange that too. Most of them charge $109 to $129 for the alarms alone.

What if you find something?

You get a photo, a clear explanation, and a quote if it needs work. No obligation to use us, but if we can do it same trip it saves you an unnecessary call-out fee from another team or future visit.

What if nobody's home?

if the switchboard is outside we do the scan and the safety switch test regardless. The smoke alarm check needs an adult inside – we try twice, and if we can’t get in, that part waits until next year.

Who gets the email - me or the tenant?

Whoever you nominate. Most landlords put themselves or their agent.

Does it renew automatically?

Once a year, and we email you 14 days before with the date and the price. Cancel online or by email. No phone call, no retention script.

Will this lower my insurance premium?

We don’t know, and we’re not going to claim it will. As this is a new plan, we are unsure if this will drop insurance premiums – however, it never hurts to ask them. If an insurer ever confirms a discount in writing, we’ll say so then.

We'd love to hear from you
