Dann, Hamish, and the team came out to perform a complicated three phase and board upgrade, including sub boards in my sheds. I found the whole team to be polite, and hard working. It was a very challenging job, but Dann's team did not compromise on quality or safety. I'm impressed with thier professional approach to the job, and they left the site tidy and clean. I will absolutely be calling them again next time I need works done.

Highly recommend Ben from Danns Electrical, we couldn't be happier with his service. Ben quickly came up with solutions for our issues and did a fantastic job installing sensor lights and power points. He provided excellent, reliable and professional service, we wouldn't use anyone else. 5 Stars

Exceptional electrician, experience really makes all the difference! We honestly cannot recommend Dan highly enough! We'd been dealing with an incredibly frustrating, intermittent electrical issue in our kitchen for ages. The power would trip seemingly out of nowhere, sometimes only once every six months, making it almost impossible to pinpoint the cause. We'd spent so much time troubleshooting, unplugging appliances and trying to work out what on earth was going on. Just when we thought we'd figured it out, the problem would eventually happen again! We finally called Dan, and honestly, we were absolutely mind blown. Within less than five minutes of arriving, he had figured out the issue! After all the time we'd spent scratching our heads over it, watching him identify the problem so quickly was incredible. It really showed us the difference that genuine experience, technical knowledge and expertise make. What had been an ongoing headache for us was something Dan was able to work through almost immediately. We're so glad we called him. It's such a relief to have someone who genuinely knows their trade and can get to the bottom of a problem without hours of guesswork. If you're looking for an electrician who knows what they're doing, is experienced and can troubleshoot those frustrating electrical issues that others might struggle to pinpoint, give Dan a call. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and will absolutely be using him again. Thanks, Dan, you've earned every one of these five stars!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I hired Dann's Electrical to perform a switchboard upgrade at my home in Oct 2026. Communication from the outset was phenomenal and they instilled more confidence than the 3 other competitive others I'd invited to tender for the works. Pricing was more competitive to boot. When Dan's tradesman Hamish and apprentice Cody rocked up with the new board, due to unforeseen circumstances, it quickly became apparent that there was much more to the job than had initially been expected. This is after the Level 2 electrician had disconnected us from street power and left. There was no turning back now. Without going into too much detail, Hamish and Cody's day had gone from a reasonably paced knock-off-on-time job to an "oh f*************k" kinda day. Not once did the boys grumble or moan or swear (as I certainly would have.) Nor did they let a moment go to waste. They were in it now and they didn't stop until the job was done. Upon finishing the job, I couldn't fault a single thing from their professionalism, the presentation and cable management of the new board to their clean-up effort at the end of the job when all they would have wanted was to go home a take a long shower in silence to wash the helluva day off 'em. BONUS POINTS! As with any older home, some of the building materials the fellas encountered were aged out and brittle: a roof tile broke as they were putting it back in. What did they do? Silicon up the remains and not let me find out until the next big rain because "where are we going to find a replacement for a 40+ year old tile?" Nope! The industrious young blokes jumped on fb marketplace, miraculously tracked down a local seller who had something that matched and drove out to his place to pick up a replacement (with a spare for me to keep.) I said at the top of this spiel that if i could give 5 stars, I would. I hope you now understand why. Dan, if you're reading this: don't let Hamish and Cody out of your sight. Any employer would be lucky to have 2 young guns of this calibre in their stable. Hats off, boys!

Dan came out to my place early on a Saturday morning to fix problems with the wiring in my switchboard, so we could get our power back after a storm. He got us going and provided advice on what we might want to look at upgrading. Dan was very nice and, arrived when he said he would, and did a great job.

Workplace duties

The electrical duties every office and shop has

Workplace electrical rules from SafeWork NSW.

Got RCDs? They must be tested and recorded

Records
kept until the next test or disposal

SafeWork NSW says RCDs used at work must be tested regularly by a competent person, and records of testing (other than push-button tests) must be kept until the device is next tested or disposed of.

Leads across the floor? Lift them

Off the floor
lead stands and insulated cable hangers

SafeWork NSW says extension leads, particularly on equipment that's moved often, can be damaged, and points to lead stands or insulated cable hangers to keep leads off the ground.

Running on adaptors? Add outlets

Fire risk
from overloading outlets with adaptors

SafeWork NSW says workplaces should provide enough socket outlets, because overloading outlets with adaptors can cause fires.

FAQs

Office and retail electrician questions

Ask us anything
How do you keep disruption to a minimum?

We schedule disruptive work after hours and on weekends, tell you exactly when power will be off and leave the space clean for the next trading day.

Can you work in shopping centres and office buildings?

Yes. We're CM3 certified and insured, and used to centre inductions, permits and building management requirements.

Can lighting help a shop sell more?

Good lighting makes products look their best and guides customers through the store. We design and install track, display and window lighting to suit your fit-out.

Do I need a three-phase upgrade?

If you're adding air con, a commercial kitchen, server racks or heavy equipment, you may. We can log your current load and tell you.

How much will it cost?

Site assessments are free, and our work is fixed price. We give you a fixed price before any work starts, so the price you agree to is the price you pay. There are no hidden fees.

Will I get a compliance certificate?

Yes. NSW electricians must submit a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) through Building Commission NSW’s eCert portal no later than seven days after completing the work, including the safety and compliance test, and a copy can be sent to you automatically.

Which areas do you cover?

All across Sydney. We look after sites in Wetherill Park, Kemps Creek and the western industrial precincts, plus Penrith, the Blue Mountains and the Hawkesbury.
