Dann's Electrical installs, repairs and maintains access control across Penrith and greater Sydney for strata and property managers, offices, warehouses, schools and homes. That covers fob and card readers, keypads, video intercoms and electric locks, so you can add or cancel access without changing a lock. The team holds a NSW Security Industry Licence (Class 2C), and electric locks on exit doors are set up to release in an emergency.
Keys get copied, lost and never returned. Access control replaces them with fobs, cards, PINs or phone access that you can add or cancel without changing a lock, and each door, gate or entry can have its own rules for who gets in and when.

Know the rules
Licensing and exit door rules from NSW Police and the Australian Building Codes Board.
NSW Police says security system installers, including alarms, access control and CCTV, are required to be licensed in NSW.
The Australian Building Codes Board explains that an electric lock on an exit door can only use the building code's fail-safe exemption if it is genuinely fail-safe, so access to exits is enabled immediately in an emergency, with effectively no time delay.
The Australian Building Codes Board says that if an exit door latch can't open with a pushing action, it must open with a single downward action, using one hand.
Where we work
We travel all across Sydney for commercial and industrial work. We look after sites in Wetherill Park, Kemps Creek and the western industrial precincts, as well as Penrith, the Blue Mountains and the Hawkesbury.
Access control is an electronic system that decides who can open a door, gate or entry, and when. Instead of keys, people use a fob, card, PIN or their phone, and you can add or remove access without changing locks.
