Dann's Electrical is a licensed electrical contractor working right across the Blue Mountains, from Glenbrook and Blaxland in the lower Mountains up to Leura and Katoomba. We look after homes, rentals, shops, schools and strata, and we’re on call 24/7 for power outages, faults and storm damage.
Electrical work in the Mountains has its own pattern. A lot of homes are established houses on bushy blocks, some with their own power pole, and storms bring branches down on the line running into the house. Lower Mountains summers push air cons hard, and upper Mountains winters do the same to heaters. We do a lot of work up here, so we know what to check.
We're CM3 certified, NECA members and a Level 2 Accredited Service Provider, with more than 5,500 jobs completed and 100+ five-star Google reviews.

Fire season runs September to February (NSW RFS). If embers or storms damage the meter box or wiring at your Mountains home, leave the power off and get it checked.
A private pole on your property is yours to maintain, says Endeavour Energy. Inspect it before bushfire season. Repairs that disconnect at the point of supply need a Level 2 ASP.
Summer days in the lower Mountains average close to 29°C. If breakers trip when the air con kicks in, or your board still has old ceramic fuses, have it checked before the heat arrives.
Winter nights in the upper Mountains average under 3°C. If breakers trip when the heaters are running, get your board and circuits checked.
The NSW Government says up to 1,800 house fires a year could be prevented by a wiring check and safety switches. We test boards, safety switches and wiring across the Mountains.
NSW landlords must check alarms every year, replace them within 10 years of manufacture, and use a licensed electrician for hard-wired ones.

Endeavour Energy says privately owned poles and lines are the property owner’s responsibility, and recommends an inspection before bushfire season and after major storms. Endeavour Energy says to keep a 3-metre safety clearance from powerlines, and owners look after trees near lines on their land. If a repair means disconnecting at the point of supply, it needs a Level 2 Accredited Service Provider, and we are one.
Usually the circuit is carrying more load than it was set up for, the switchboard is old, or there is a fault that only shows up under load. Older boards with ceramic fuses struggle the most. We test the board and circuits, tell you what’s causing it and give you a fixed price to fix it.
