Dann, Hamish, and the team came out to perform a complicated three phase and board upgrade, including sub boards in my sheds. I found the whole team to be polite, and hard working. It was a very challenging job, but Dann's team did not compromise on quality or safety. I'm impressed with thier professional approach to the job, and they left the site tidy and clean. I will absolutely be calling them again next time I need works done.

Highly recommend Ben from Danns Electrical, we couldn't be happier with his service. Ben quickly came up with solutions for our issues and did a fantastic job installing sensor lights and power points. He provided excellent, reliable and professional service, we wouldn't use anyone else. 5 Stars

Exceptional electrician, experience really makes all the difference!
We honestly cannot recommend Dan highly enough!
We'd been dealing with an incredibly frustrating, intermittent electrical issue in our kitchen for ages. The power would trip seemingly out of nowhere, sometimes only once every six months, making it almost impossible to pinpoint the cause. We'd spent so much time troubleshooting, unplugging appliances and trying to work out what on earth was going on. Just when we thought we'd figured it out, the problem would eventually happen again!
We finally called Dan, and honestly, we were absolutely mind blown. Within less than five minutes of arriving, he had figured out the issue! After all the time we'd spent scratching our heads over it, watching him identify the problem so quickly was incredible.
It really showed us the difference that genuine experience, technical knowledge and expertise make. What had been an ongoing headache for us was something Dan was able to work through almost immediately.
We're so glad we called him. It's such a relief to have someone who genuinely knows their trade and can get to the bottom of a problem without hours of guesswork.
If you're looking for an electrician who knows what they're doing, is experienced and can troubleshoot those frustrating electrical issues that others might struggle to pinpoint, give Dan a call. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and will absolutely be using him again.
Thanks, Dan, you've earned every one of these five stars!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
I hired Dann's Electrical to perform a switchboard upgrade at my home in Oct 2026.
Communication from the outset was phenomenal and they instilled more confidence than the 3 other competitive others I'd invited to tender for the works. Pricing was more competitive to boot.
When Dan's tradesman Hamish and apprentice Cody rocked up with the new board, due to unforeseen circumstances, it quickly became apparent that there was much more to the job than had initially been expected.
This is after the Level 2 electrician had disconnected us from street power and left. There was no turning back now.
Without going into too much detail, Hamish and Cody's day had gone from a reasonably paced knock-off-on-time job to an "oh f*************k" kinda day.
Not once did the boys grumble or moan or swear (as I certainly would have.) Nor did they let a moment go to waste. They were in it now and they didn't stop until the job was done.
Upon finishing the job, I couldn't fault a single thing from their professionalism, the presentation and cable management of the new board to their clean-up effort at the end of the job when all they would have wanted was to go home a take a long shower in silence to wash the helluva day off 'em.
BONUS POINTS! As with any older home, some of the building materials the fellas encountered were aged out and brittle: a roof tile broke as they were putting it back in. What did they do? Silicon up the remains and not let me find out until the next big rain because "where are we going to find a replacement for a 40+ year old tile?" Nope! The industrious young blokes jumped on fb marketplace, miraculously tracked down a local seller who had something that matched and drove out to his place to pick up a replacement (with a spare for me to keep.)
I said at the top of this spiel that if i could give 5 stars, I would. I hope you now understand why.
Dan, if you're reading this: don't let Hamish and Cody out of your sight. Any employer would be lucky to have 2 young guns of this calibre in their stable.
Hats off, boys!

Dan came out to my place early on a Saturday morning to fix problems with the wiring in my switchboard, so we could get our power back after a storm. He got us going and provided advice on what we might want to look at upgrading. Dan was very nice and, arrived when he said he would, and did a great job.

Breakers tripping on hot days? Your switchboard may be struggling
48.9°C
Penrith Lakes, 4 Jan 2020. The Sydney basin record
Nearby Penrith Lakes holds the hottest temperature ever recorded in the Sydney basin. On days like that, air conditioners run flat out for hours. Get your board checked before the next heatwave.
NSW house fires a year that wiring checks and safety switches could prevent
Up to 1,800 NSW house fires a year could have been prevented with a wiring check and safety switches, according to the NSW Government. If lights flicker or breakers trip in your Kingswood home, we’ll test the board, safety switches and wiring.
The NSW Government says homes built from 2000 usually have safety switches, but older homes should be checked by a licensed electrician. Either way, test them twice a year. We check and fit safety switches for homes in Kingswood.
Adding an EV charger? Check your supply can handle it
1.4
vehicles per Kingswood dwelling (2021 Census)
Kingswood homes average 1.4 cars each, but only 44.7% are separate houses. In a unit or townhouse the supply is often shared, so check your board and any strata approval before adding a charger.
Own a rental? Hard-wired smoke alarms need a licensed electrician
55.3%
of Kingswood homes are rented (2021 Census)
NSW landlords must check smoke alarms every year, replace them within 10 years of manufacture, and use a licensed electrician to repair or replace hard-wired ones.
In a flood study area? Know what to do if water gets in
Flood study
College, Orth and Werrington Creeks Catchment Floodplain Risk Management Study
Penrith City Council’s College, Orth and Werrington Creeks Catchment Floodplain Risk Management Study includes parts of Kingswood. If floodwater gets inside, don’t use any power points, appliances or hot water system it has reached until a licensed electrician has checked them.
Is there a 24/7 emergency electrician in Kingswood?
Yes. Dann’s Electrical runs a 24/7 emergency service across Kingswood and the Penrith area, including nights, weekends and public holidays. Call 0478 014 622 for power outages, sparking outlets, burning smells or a switchboard that keeps tripping. If anyone is hurt, call 000.
My power’s out in Kingswood. Who should I call?
Check whether your neighbours still have power. If they do, or only part of your Kingswood property is out, the fault is on your side: call us on 0478 014 622, 24/7, and we can find and fix it. If the whole street is out, it’s a network outage.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We’re a licensed NSW electrical contractor (licence 399632C) with full insurance. We’re also CM3 certified, NECA members and a Level 2 Accredited Service Provider, and our team holds current Working With Children Checks.
Is it safe to turn my power back on after a flood in Kingswood?
Not until it’s been checked. NSW SES advises turning off electricity before going back inside, not switching on lights or appliances, and having a licensed electrician check your wiring and appliances first. We inspect flood-affected homes and businesses and tell you what’s safe to use.
Do you work on units and townhouses in Kingswood?
Yes. 55.0% of Kingswood homes are townhouses, semis, units or apartments (2021 Census). We work with owners, landlords and strata managers on individual units, common-area lighting and shared switchboards.
What does a Level 2 electrician do?
Level 2 electricians are Accredited Service Providers authorised to work on the network side of a property: connecting and disconnecting power, repairing and upgrading service lines, and metering. Regular electricians can’t do this work. Dann’s holds Endeavour Energy authorisation for service line work and Plus ES authorisation for contestable metering.
What are the smoke alarm rules for rentals in Kingswood?
55.3% of Kingswood homes are rented (2021 Census). NSW landlords must check smoke alarms every year, replace removable batteries each year, replace alarms within 10 years of manufacture, and use a licensed electrician for hard-wired alarms.
Do you install home EV chargers in Kingswood?
Yes, including Tesla and Evnex. Kingswood households average 1.4 cars (2021 Census), and we check your switchboard and supply can handle the extra load before we install.
What suburbs near Kingswood do you cover?
Near Kingswood we regularly work in St Marys, Emu Plains, Leonay, Jamisontown and Glenmore Park, as well as the rest of the Penrith area.
Do you work on homes and businesses?
Both. We work for homeowners, landlords, businesses, schools, strata and asset managers. At home that covers repairs, switchboards and EV chargers; on commercial and industrial sites it’s fit-outs, test and tag and maintenance.
What is a CCEW, and will I get one?
It’s the Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. NSW electricians must submit it through Building Commission NSW’s eCert portal no later than seven days after completing the work, including the safety and compliance test. We lodge one for every job that needs it and send a copy to you.
How long is your warranty?
25 years on switchboards we install and 7 years on lighting, covering parts and labour.
